Time to grab a stake in new German miracle

Article Abstract:

The German government is re-structuring and privatizing the industries in eastern Germany in order to boost industrial growth in that region. The plan, scheduled for completion by the end of 1993, affords an excellent opportunity for foreign investors to acquire industries in a European Community base. This, in addition to the attractive incentives offered by the German government and an excellent labor force has induced the US and to invest heavily. Asian investors, however, have missed the opportunity to acquire a stake in the prospective recovery of the industrial economy.
