Rowland's personal relations with some African leaders has always buttressed the success of his company on the continent. From Libya to Malawi, he has used his personal diplomacy to adjust adverse conditions so that Lonrho continues to operate profitably.

Sweat it out, Sweden

Article Abstract:

Sweden's mix of capitalism and socialism served the country very well for almost 60 years, and now that their economy is suffering there are calls to revert back to that formula. With the integrated global economy though, that option no longer exists.
