To screen, or not to screen?

Article Abstract:

Health experts are divided on whether older men should get routine prostate cancer screening. Those opposed to routine screening say that the disease grows slowly and treatments are often ineffective and have side effects. Advocates say screening helped death rates drop by 6.3% from 1991-95.

Master and slave in Mauritania

Article Abstract:

Slavery was banned in 1980 in Mauritania, but the practice still exists. An estimated 40% of the country's population of two million are said to be freed slaves or their descendents. Many slaves have stayed with their owners since the ban for security.
