To sell or not to sell? Israeli start-up model leaves nation without tech titans

Article Abstract:

Even though Israel has the third most companies listed on Nasdaq, the country seems to start tech companies for the sole purpose of getting acquired by a foreign corporation. One major reason could be that Israel doesn't have a pool of strong, experienced managers to lead these little start-ups to a global market. There are other possible reasons presented as well.

France Telecom moves in on Orange

France Telecom S.A. is offering to acquire the minority share of Orange S.A. that it does not own for approximately 7 billion euros in shares. France Telecom is offering to buy 13.7% of Orange.
