Russia's inflation fight: stanching price rises tangled by election, global credit crunch
Article Abstract:
The Russian government has taken steps to head off inflation, but curbing prices is restricted by both the global credit crisis and upcoming elections. Although inflation hit quadruple digits during the 1990s due to economic turmoil, rising prices this time is due primarily to economic success.
