Towards the sustainable development of Algeria

Article Abstract:

The interest shown by the Algerian government in the national and international private investors towards investing in various sectors of Algerian economy like housing and construction, human resources and development of other natural resources in general and water resources in particular has been described. Opportunities provided by the Algerian government to national and international private investors for investing the above sectors have been mentioned. The steps taken by the Algerian government and other companies to control environmental degradation in Algeria have been described.

The 5th column: Korean unification is affordable

Article Abstract:

The various issues surrounding the unification of North and South Korea are discussed, with special emphasis on the financial limitations facing both countries in the process. Implications of alternatives to unification, primarily the condoning of a nuclearized North Korea, are discussed, and it is shown that the unification process may be more affordable than is widely believed.
