Tower voice switch

Article Abstract:

Litton Denro has introduced the Tower Voice Switch (TVS) for small and mobile tower applications. TVS can also provide multichannel disk-based digital voice recording. It was originally developed by Drake Electronics as the 400 Series II voice communications system. Features include digital, non-blocking system include audio bandwidth of 17Khz with low noise and signal-to-noise ratio of -70db; fully redundant power supplies, processor and switching elements; a diagnostic and monitoring system.

Wireless headset offers improved communications

Article Abstract:

Germany-based CeoTronics is launching a wireless digital headset, called CT-GateCom II, at Inter Airport Atlanta. The product provides full duplex communication that enables the ground handler and pilot to simultaneously speak with each other and listen at the same time. It permits the ground handler complete freedom of movement around the aircraft since there are no cables to accidentally catch in the wheels of the aircraft.

Voice communication integrates radio and phone

Frequentis Nachrichtentechnik, an Austrian company, has unveiled VCS 3020XM, the latest model in the 3020 series of voice communication systems, which integrate radio and telephone networks. The fully redundant digital voice communication system VCS 3020XM is based on the common QSIG protocol standard, and covers different telecommunication infrastructures, safety aspects anad traffic load.
