Toyota net falls on weak dollar, discounts in U.S

Toyota Motor Corp. posted a fall of 9.7% in its net income for the fiscal 2003 first quarter. The company was hurt by discounts in the U.S. and by the weakness of the American dollar.

Isuzu slashes jobs, closes factory to stem losses
