Article Abstract:

There have been many personnel movements in European leveraged and acquisition finance since summer 1998. The most significant movements took place during the merger negotiations between Bankers Trust and Deutsche Bank. Matthew Collins, head of Bankers Trust's leveraged finance team, chose to depart before the process had come to an end. Bankers Trust's James Greenwood also left. Significant personnel changes have also taken place at CSFB. There is uncertainty surrounding the future of the debt teams at Paribas and Societe Generale.
