Transcontinental markets loyalty kiosks

Article Abstract:

Transcontinental e.media of Canada has initiated a sale of an automatic teller for retailers to use in their stores in creating loyalty programs and build a non-to-one relations with clients. Smarts cards developed by the firm could be used at kiosks, with customers be able to get personalized electronic coupons and data on which aisles contain items eligible for rebate. Transcontinental e.media director of marketing Mario Mrvica said retailers could give clients data and benefits based on what is in the shopping of the individual.

Interactive viewers earn rewards

Article Abstract:

Interactive Cyber Television Inc of Montreal, Quebec, has launched TV Miles, a marketing program that combines interactive television, smart- card technology and loyalty programs. A smart card slot is used to record points earned by viewers for correctly answering questions about telvision shows as they are aired. The program, which was developed in collaboration with CFCF Television Inc, also benefits sponsors by enabling them to collect consumer information and viewer profiles.

Smoking out new hemp markets

Article Abstract:

An increasing number of Canadian companies are introducing hemp-based products after the Canadian government legalized the growth of industrial hemp under license for Health Canada. The North American market for hemp is estimated at C$41 million-C$44 million ($28 million-$30 million), with annual growth of $12 million-$15 million. Among the hemp products being introduced are soap, salad dressing, beer and clothing.
