Tata Infotech Ltd of Mumbai will soon launch FoneMAIL, a software product that will permit e-mail account holders to listen to their mailboxes. The product has been built on Microsoft Windows NT Workstation and is compliant with POP3 mail servers. The company is also developing a voice recognition software, which will enable e-mail users to talk to their mailboxes. (khr)

INAUGURATES GREENFIELD PROJECT

Article Abstract:

Ford India Ltd, a subsidiary of Ford Motor Company of the US, inaugurated its Rs1700 crore greenfield projected near Chennai on March 19, 1999. The facility will be set up on a 250 acre complex and Ford is set to invest another Rs1000 crore in its operations. The facility is scheduled to launch a new Ford car codenamed C195. (khr)
