U.S. jury indicts brokers for leaks of client orders

The United States Securites and Exchange Commission is investigating four stockbrokers for securities fraud, conspiracy and commercial bribery. The four accused of leaking client orders are Kenneth E. Mahaffy Jr., Timothy J. O'Connell, Ralph D. Casbarro and David G. Ghysels Jr.

Sihpol verdict deals a blow to Spitzer

Theodore Sihpol, formerly of Bank of America Corp. of the United States was found not guilty of mutual funds trading violations in a criminal court. This case is considered a setback for Attorney General Eliot Spitzer, leading the campaign to end financial fraud.
