Unisem IPO is promising: low price, rosy outlook cheer some analysts

Article Abstract:

Analysts believe that semiconductor assembler Unisem (Malaysia) can restore Malaysia's old initial public offering strength, as the company enlists in July 1998. With Unisem, investors are provided a different entry into one of Malaysia's most progressive sectors. The number of stocks providing exposure to semiconductor assembly and testing has increased. Aside from a net profit that is projected to increase 37% in 1998 and 33% in 1999, the company's attraction includes a clean balance sheet, and export-dollar earnings to protect it from the ringgit's weakness.
