Use of LP in Integrated Programming: Some Notes on a Care Report by Elshafei and Elhadidi

Article Abstract:

This research applies to a publication which appeared in volume six of 1981 dealing with a linear programming (LP) model in Egyptian coke manufacturing. The objective was to maximize the amount of coal in storage at Alexandria and Helwah. A fundamental iterative procedure for corresponding values to decision variables is featured. The solution for the problem here points toward the atypical nature of the model proposed by Elshafei and Elhadidi. The model's objective operation was selected to insure against the problems related to irregular coal delivery at Alexandria.
