Using AHP for resource allocation problems

Article Abstract:

A study was conducted to examine the expected priority approach and the benefit-cost ratio approach in the use of the analytical hierarchy process (AHP) for resource allocation problems. Both approaches gave correct results when only direct criteria are considered under simplified assumptions. However, they did not always provide optimum solutions when only inverse criteria were considered. A double objective function method is proposed to obtain correct results for cases involving various mixed criteria.

A restricted class of multiobjective linear fractional programming problems

Article Abstract:

Multiobjective linear fractional programming problems (MOLFPP) are solved, with all having the same denominators in all objective functions. The solution procedure is supported with a numerical example, with the solution found to be nondominated. A bi-objective linear fractional programming problem (BOLFPP) is also solved, with the procedure extendable to solving a restricted class of MOLFPPs. Decision makers usually evaluate economic activities by assuming positive denominator values.

Duality theory for infinite-dimensional multiobjective linear programming

Article Abstract:

Infinite-dimensional Multiobjective Linear Programming have overall duality characteristics. The interpretation in relation to primal sensitivity of existing dual solutions is considered. The dual of a primal program is described, with the sensitivity of the proper primal solutions measurable by the dual solutions. The relationship between a dual program and its arbitrary-dimensional multiobjective linear program is examined.
