VA Stahl joins Vossloh in takeover of VAE AG

Article Abstract:

VA Stahl AG of Austria has formed a partnership with the German group Vossloh AG to take control of VAE AG that would allow an offering of a completely integrated railway system. The alliance between VA Stahl and rail-fastener maker Vossloh will result to a dominant grouping in the global railway-systems market. It is also expected to reduce the anticipated $188.21 million burden on VA Stahl's balance sheet by half. The combination offers significant savings in sales and marketing, as well as enable each party to draw on the others strength.
