Valmet voitti kilpailun Haindlin paperikoneesta

Article Abstract:

German Haindl Papier has ordered a magazine paper machine for FIM 0.5bn (USD 92mn) from the Finnish Valmet. Haindl Papier has until now bought their paper machines from a German company, Voith. According to Valmet, they did not compromise their profits in order to win a contract in Voith's territory. Winning the contract was based on technical superiority, on the new OptiConsept solution. According to Valmet, Haindl's paper machine will be the world's largest machine producing coated magazine paper. The estimated capacity is 400,000 tons/yr. Haindl will install the machine on their Augsburg plant. The start up is scheduled for June 2000.
