Visit USA

Article Abstract:

The Visit USA Seminar in Switzerland is considered a major yearly event in the country's tourism calendar. The 1998 Seminar included Canadian travel destinations. The Seminar was held at the Kongresshaus in Zurich on Jan 19-20 under the auspices of the American and Canadian ambassadors. Only travel professionals were allowed to participate in the Seminar, which had three goals. These were to give new operators opportunities in finding business partners, to give veteran operators a chance to visit North America and facilitate business ties and to provide specialty training for travel agents.
