Warrants may offer cheap ride on Singapore Airlines

Article Abstract:

Singapore Airlines is offering two types of stock, namely, foreign and local. The move is designed to enhance market share at a time when Asian economies are improving and more Asians have resumed traveling. Foreign shares are almost at their ceiling and are at a 51% premium to the local shares. Local shares represent a better investment especially since 1998, when the Development Bank of Singapore issued warrants on 11 million local shares, followed by Deutsche Bank, which issued warrants on six million local shares in 1999.
