Who's smarter?

Article Abstract:

The debate between Northern and Southern Indians of who is smarter entered the political arena when P.V. Narasimha Rao became the first prime minister from the South. The South's superiority is supported by the fact that it has produced more and better scientists and its classical Indian music is mathematically precise which has ingrained itself in the South Indian mind. This is attributed to the region's historical advantages of exposure to foreign influences through sea trade and exemption from the invasions which have plagued the North which allowed the people the luxury to contemplate.

Eat and dust

Article Abstract:

Dhabas are roadside restaurants in India serving cheap food like lentil stew and milky tea, which is sometimes provided at top strength for truck drivers. These restaurants are the subject of a campaign by the Indian tourism department, which seeks to improve their standards of hygiene. Advice on hygiene has been given, including tips such as ensuring nails are trimmed and dish cloths kept clean. Some fans of the dhabas argue that too much attention to detail on matters of hygiene could detract from the dhabas' ability to serve tasty food.

Fatal attraction

Article Abstract:

Reckless driving attitudes and heavy traffic conditions in New Delhi, India, are contributing towards frequent fatal road accidents. Six individuals die each day in road accidents in the congested capital. A wide range of vehicles are used for transport including cars, elephants and motorcycles. Drivers have little respect for other vehicles. Bus drivers, particularly those from the Blueline bus company are notoriously dangerous on the roads.
