An unsettling settlement

Article Abstract:

The settlement of the US Justice Dept's antitrust case against Microsoft which was announced on Nov 2, 2001, is an unlikely victory for Microsoft. Despite a ruling that it abused its monopoly position, Microsoft is not being punished and the restrictions imposed will have little real impact.
