Why top temps are here to stay

Article Abstract:

UK firms currently spend approximately 400 million pounds sterling on interim managers and this figure is increasing annually by 25%, according to analysts' estimates. Interim managers are experienced self-employed management executives who come into a firm and work for it for a limited period to address specific challenges including a short-term project, a period of organisational restructuring or even a hostile takeover bid. Interim managers usually charge daily fees of up to 1,000 pounds sterling, but their employment can represent a cost-effective solution for businesses.

Culling the corporation

Article Abstract:

Management is hampering the expansion of large companies, especially in terms of making the decision-making process very complicated and taking a growing share of the company's wealth. It would be wise for large companies to replace management with simpler and more effective approaches to corporate operations. It is possible for large companies to be run without management and without its leaders abandoning control. Individual executives must rise about the vested interests of the managerial class and abandon traditional ways of thinking.

The can-do crew

Article Abstract:

A chief executive has a vital role in planning for the future of his or her company and directing the whole business towards specific goals. To enable plans to go forward the executive must not only understand what needs to be done but ensure that the plans are followed through. The whole business structure needs to be examined in order to gain the most from employees and to determine company limitations. Failure to implement new ideas may occur if the workforce is not included in the decision making process.
