Wipeout for key player in surfboard industry

Article Abstract:

Clark Foam of Laguna Niguel, California has closed it's doors citing concerns about environmental protection violations. The company provided approximately 80 percent or greater of foam cores used in the making of surfboards in the United States and was a major international supplier. The world of surfing may be shaken by a surfboard shortage, prices on remaining inventory has gone up by as much as $100 per surfboard.

Harrah's to open casinos in Spain and Slovenia

Article Abstract:

Harrah's Entertainment Inc. of the United States is to open casinos in Slovenia and Spain in its first foray into Europe. The Caesar's brand casino will be built south of Madrid in Cuidad Real at a cost of $670 million and called "El Reino de Don Quijote." The Slovenian project will be located on the border of Italy.

Kerzner agrees to buyout offer topping $3 billion

Kerzner International Ltd. of the Bahamas is to be acquired for $3 billion and the assumption of $599 million in debt by a group of private equity companies. The consortium is paying $76 per share. Kerzner International Ltd. is a casino and hospitality industry company.
