An exhibition called 'The Swagger Portrait' features the portraits of the famous and wealthy who wanted to be immortalized on canvas. Painters such as Anthony Van Dyke were the ultimate artists of the genre, while Thomas Gainsborough preferred less grandeur.

Up the NAIRU without a paddle

Moderate and liberal economists are adopting the traditionally conservative idea of NAIRU to rethink employment policy. Unlike conservatives, liberals believe that the NAIRU is not fixed and that governments should actively counteract unemployment.
