Errors in drug cards' online prices

Article Abstract:

Sponsors of the new Medicare drug discount card announced on April 30, 2004 that some prices are wrong on the online prescription price comparison that the Bush administration rolled out. The table listing price ranges for several drugs listed on Medicare's Web site revealed that the monthly price for Fosamax was incorrect while officials for Medco Health Solutions Inc. Alliance also reported problems.

Child-welfare experts blast Phila. agency

Article Abstract:

Philadelphia's Department of Human Services has been charged by two child welfare experts with improperly caring for children under its supervision. The city agency has been accused of a pattern of abuse in the 88-page report. During the period between July 1988 and September 1999 seventeen children died of abuse or neglect while under the agency's care.

Drug slows onset of MS, study finds

Article Abstract:

The article discusses how aggressive treatment in patients showing early signs of MS (multiple sclerosis) can delay the disease and stop the damage. The study was conducted in 50 centers across the U.S. and Canada, and one of those centers was at the University of Pennsylvania.
