May Department Co.'s Lord & Taylor division plans to establish a $36-million outlet in Downtown Pittsburgh, PA, in fall 2000. Like other Lord & Taylor stores, the new Pittsburgh store will exclusively carry American-style clothing, from formal wear to outer wear made by American designers such as Tommy Hilfilger and Donna Karan. The store, which will open in the former Mellon Bank headquarters at Smithfield Street and Fifth Avenue in Pittsburgh, PA, is also expected to have departments that cater to needs of special-size customers.

Marc merges with Chicago ad firm

Marc USA of Pittsburgh, PA, has consolidated its operations with Chicago, IL-based Keroff & Rosenberg (K&R). Marc USA Chairman and CEO Tony Bucci stated that the company chose to merge with the 68-employee K&R due to matching strong points in consumer and retail operations. The combined K&R/Marc company, which is predicted to report billings worth $280 million in 1998, is set to establish operations in Miami and Orlando, both in Florida, as well as in Tulsa, OK, Indianapolis, IN, and Dallas, TX.
