A new report from Wayne, Penn.-based Internet Capital Group Inc. reveals that the median salary for top executives at six local high-tech firms soared to $645,908 in 1999. The six local firms, which include Comcast Corp., MBNA Corp., Cigna Corp., VerticalNet Inc. and Jones Apparel Group, reported a combined market value of over $56 billion.

Vanguard reopens 2 mutual funds, but raises investment bar

Article Abstract:

Malvern, Penn.-based Vanguard Group Inc., which is trying to cope with the current bear stock market, will offer two previously-closed mutual funds for investors willing to invest a minimum of $25,000. The re-opened funds are the Capital Opportunity fund and the Primecap fund.

Internet Capital Group to receive $90 million from AT&T, 2d firm

Article Abstract:

Internet Capital Group will raise money to help with debt and investments. In addition to AT&T, a Kuwaiti firm, Internet Assets Inc., will invest, adding itself to the list of prior investors like IBM, Comcast, GE Capital and Compaq.
