Markets slide amid mixed earnings data

Article Abstract:

Stocks in the US plunged on July 21, 2004 as weakness in the semiconductor industry and mixed earnings news offset the cheer over Microsoft Corp.'s plan for a stock buyback and an enormous dividend. The situation is discussed with respect to Nasdaq, which fell 2.2 percent, the Dow Jones industrial average's 1 percent fall, and the Standard & Poor's 500 index, which declined 1.3 percent.

Citibank to close facility in Bucks

Article Abstract:

Citibank would close the collection and customer service operation in Neshaminy idling 930 workers. Thus, the bank would offer severance package to employees and would help find jobs at other locations.
