Donna Thiel, the owner of a small business and a vacation property, discusses about various forms of payment, the risks each entails from cash that may be counterfeit to credit cards, which might be stolen, or fake. She was the victim of an old scam, a counterfeit cashier's check, which is growing frequently.

Bell Atlantic asks some customers to settle up by Jan. 1900

Article Abstract:

Bell Atlantic, which has not solved all of its Y2K-related problems, mailed bills to over 300 business customers with a request to pay their bills by January 4, 1900. The Y2K glitch also affected hundreds of Philadelphia residents who were instructed to appear for jury duty in January 1900.
