Article Abstract:
Equitable Resources Inc., based in Pittsburgh, PA, intends to sell its headquarters facility on the Boulevard of the Allies. The company has also expressed plans to relocate at a smaller building in Pittsburgh. The move reflects the efforts of the company to improve its efficiency and reduce operations costs by occupying a smaller facility in place of a larger building that is not fully-utilized, according to Bob Butter, a spokesperson for the firm. The planned divestiture is expected to entail the transfer of some Pittsburgh positions to Parkway West, PA, or other company sites in the North Side.
