Safegaurd sees volatile results in its future

Top executives of Safeguard Scientifics Inc. met with a group of analysts and investment managers and told them to expect more volatility in the company's portfolio. This is due to Safeguard's emphasis on investing in Internet companies. Founder and chairman Warren Musser counseled patience. Jeremy Johnson, senior vice president for operations stated that some network infrastructure companies will take a long time win investors attention.
