AGH may look for a partner

Article Abstract:

Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, is exploring options to shore up its finances, including forging a partnership. AGH spokesman Tom Chakurda would not say whether a deal will take the form of a merger or takeover, but it appears unlikely that any institution would accept anything other than ownership in exchange for money. The hospital has been brought down along with its parent company, Allegheny Health Education and Research Foundation, which filed for bankruptcy after its ill-fated expansion into Philadelphia, PA.
