Rendell still confident about Disney project

Article Abstract:

Philadelphia Mayor Rendell stated that he still believes that the Disney-Quest project will proceed notwithstanding the difficulty in completing the sale of the property on Eighth and Market Streets. The city is attempting to sell the property to the Goldenberg Group of Blue Bell. The mayor also announced that Disney had granted a five-day extension for Goldenberg to finish the sale. January 18, 1999 was the initial deadline.

State hospital developer looks boldly forward

Article Abstract:

Critics said that developer Mark Mendelson, who recently acquired huge tracts of state-owned land and shuttered hospitals, has a long record of failures. Mendelson, the high bidder, acquired four state-owned hospitals and may also acquire the Haverford State Hospital.
