Oil's well, sort of

Article Abstract:

Public Service Commissioner Foster Campbell still pushes plans to implement a processing fee on oil and gas and proposes eliminating state individual and corporate income taxes. The Incidence of State Taxes on Oil and Gas study done in 2006 projects the implications of the processing tax if approved. In the short run the processing tax brings favorable results, but adversely affects the economy in the long-run.
