Who's reaping the benefits?

Article Abstract:

Employers feel the pressure from managing the rsing costs of employee benefit packages and the ability to attract and retain workers. Employe rs are resorting to he alth maintenance organization insurance (HMO), preferred provider network insurance, self-insured option and others to control monthly and annual premiums, avo id raising deductibles or eliminate co-payments. The use of f lexible spending accounts has been also brought about by the rising pressures, wherein employees can make pre- tax dollar contributions to fund he alth care costs.

The Vermont Venture Network (VVN) is a non-profit organization fostering interaction between entrepreneurs and venture capital investors. The success of VVN, which is celebrating its 15-year anniversary in 2004, is owed to its ability to link many investors with newly founded companies.
