A checklist for evaluating ergonomic risk factors associated with upper extremity cumulative trauma disorders

Article Abstract:

A labour-management intervention program was developed which aims to examine and determine ergonomic risk factors, particularly upper extremity trauma disorders such as forceful manual exertions, awkward postures and mechanical contact stress. The program was administered among workers doing manufacturing and warehouse jobs. Results revealed that almost all of the jobs required workers to assume awkward work postures and they generated upper extremity risk factors among workers.
