Article Abstract:

An account of the conference held in Crete, Fourth Multidisciplinary Workshop: Self-assembling Peptide and Protein Systems in Biology, Medicine and Engineering held in Crete, Greece June 25-28, 2005, is presented. The conference brought together scientists from several disciplines, namely, biology, chemistry, physics and engineering, and from different parts of the world, to discuss advances in protein and peptide self-assembly in a variety of biotechnological applications.

Article Abstract:

EBD and the US Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) have organized Techvision's BioPartnering Europe (BPE) in London and BIOEurope in Dusseldorf in 2006 with an aim to create an environment to promote early-stage partnering. EuroBio 2006 delivers on two fronts that include combining straight science technology partnering with the chance to get access to European research money by identifying and meeting potential partners for FP7 projects.
