A great deal to celebrate

Article Abstract:

Corporate law firms in Manchester, England, saw a record level of deals in 1995, with a value of 3.1 billion pounds sterling. Law firms in Manchester have to compete with companies from London, England. The M62 corridor houses many public companies which can offer new business to Manchester law firms. Corporate finance can be profitable, but it can also be affected by downturns in economic cycles. Law firms most hit by the 1990s recession were often those depending on corporate deals.
