A guide for obtaining a competitive edge (bander)

Article Abstract:

The popularity of thick, solid wood edgebands are forcing many woodworking companies to acquire new edgebanders since existing single sided-edgebanding equipment are not adapted to solid wood edgebands. Before buying new double-sided equipment, however, woodworking companies need to carefully evaluate the advantages and limitations of such equipment. Several guidelines in purchasing such equipment are discussed.

The Manager's Guide to Negotiating

Article Abstract:

A negotiation is most likely to be successful if both parties can see substantial gains from an agreement. The number of people doing the negotiating should be as few as possible. Negotiations can result in many ramifications. Twenty guidelines for successful negotiating are explained. They should be reviewed periodically and adjustments made. Effective negotiating can be learned and improved with experience.
