Advanstar Communications continues to pursue an energetic program of acquisitions and joint ventures, having completed 24 since 1996. Moreover, Advanstar plans to make an IPO priced at approximately $14.50 a share, yielding about $101.5 million, of which $93.9 million would be used for paying down long-term debt.
