Accountants unite in OFR tirade

Article Abstract:

Various accountants from the OFR opposed and criticized the new financial proposal by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) who feel that the new reviews would not improve transparency or encourage the shareholders to take more control of the company as they intended to do. One of them feel that the implementation of the offer would result in significant increase in legal costs, discouragement of the development of forward looking, and delay in production of annual reports and accounts.

Taxpayers face 60 sterling pound-a-day fines

Article Abstract:

The factors responsible for the issue of new penalties for late tax filing by the taxpayers, ranging between 20 sterling pound and 60 sterling pound, is discussed. Thus, during the time of 31 January, taxpayers are made aware regarding self-assessment penalties by the Inland Revenue to remind them to get their self-assessment forms on time.

Versailles Trade Finance, the company headed by Carl Cushnie, a new Labour businessman is alleged for defrauding investors over a pounds sterling 700m accounting scandal. He and his partner-in-crime Fred Clough, involved in it are jailed for six years, and the various people who are suspected to support them are being investigated.
