Gall Thomson on the lookout for acquisitions

Article Abstract:

Gall Thomson was demerged from Oceonics in 1996 and has since performed well. The company supplies marine breakaway couplings and runs a supplier of marine survey equipment based in Texas, Survey Equipment Services (SES). Both Gall and SES rely on the petroleum industry for sales. Gall Thomson's patent on the coupling lasts for some 18 months from Jul 1998. The company aims to reduce dependence on the petroleum industry, and has made two acquisitions. Larger acquisitions could follow in seismic or marine areas.
