Agribusiness in MERCOSUR: building new institutional apparatus

Article Abstract:

Member nations of MERCOSUR needs to establish a particular institutional apparatus to further advance its market integration process. Establishment of institutional apparatus, which requires the active participation of the private sector, will enable MERCOSUR member countries to successfully undertake economic integration's second round of adjustment. Data analyzed revealed that the creation of MERCOSUR has produced commodities and value-added products advantages for Argentina and Brazil, respectively.

Utilizing multilevel capstone courses in an integrated agribusiness curriculum

Article Abstract:

A multilevel capstone course approach allows the teaching of agribusiness courses in manner that integrates business concepts with processes. It is used in the first to the third years of the agribusiness curriculum. Compared to the single end of program capstone experience, the multilevel approach provides the knowledge and training necessary for students to become competitive members of the workforce.

The management of expatriates: implications for agribusiness

Article Abstract:

The impact of selection, culture, training, adjustment and repatriation on expatriate management policies are evaluated using the multinational profiles of Cargill and Bristol-Myers Squibb. Both firms established the value of a well-defined repatriation program. Organized programs help international business enterprises minimize repatriate turnover and maximize opportunities for overseas employment.
