World Airways, Inc., Herndon, Va.; Evergreen International Airlines, McMinnville, Ore.; Emery Worldwide Airlines, Vandalia, Ohio; Miami Air International,Inc., Miami Springs, Fla.; Northwest Airlines, Inc., St. Paul, Minn.; Southern Air Transport, Inc., Columbus, Ohio; United Parcel Service Company, Louisville,Ky.; American Airlines, Inc., Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport, Texas; Continental Airlines, Inc. Houston, Texas; North American Airlines, Inc.,Jamaica, N.Y.; Alaska Airlines, Seattle, Wash.; Trans World Airlines, Inc., Bridgeton, Mo.; and USAirways Group, Inc., Arlington, Va., are being awarded a$318,903,967 firm-fixed-price-contract to provide for FY 1999 international airlift services in support of Air Mobility Command. World Airways will performapproximately 52% of this effort, with the remaining effort performed by the other participating contractors. There were 57 firms solicited and 33 proposals received.
