Pacific Consolidated Industries, Santa Ana, Calif., is being awarded a $20,010,095 fixed-price with economic-price-adjustment-requirements-type contract to provide for 570 (best estimated quantity) Self Generating Nitrogen Servicing Carts. The unit is a diesel engine driven unit which produces nitrogen gas to service aircraft tires, struts, accumulators, and external receivers. There were 13 firms solicited and eight proposals received. Contractor's delivery schedule will be 30 each within 210 days computed from the end of the month in which order is received by the contractor and continue at the rate of 30 per month until completed. Solicitation issue date was May 1, 1997. Negotiation completion date was Feb. 17. 1998. San Antonio Air Logistics Center, Kelly AFB, Texas, is the contracting activity (F41608-98-D-0015).
