An unbelievable job: Norman Deska promotes the weird and wonderful

Article Abstract:

Norman Deska is tasked to monitor the management of Ripley Entertainment Inc's more than 3 dozen entertainment facilities worldwide. He is also responsible for creating new attractions for marketing. Ripley, which is currently focusing on the Asian markets, has opened a new store in Hong Kong and is targeting Shanghai, Beijing, India and Brazil. The 41-year-old Deska began working for Ripley's in 1979 when he articled with Clark Gordon.

Quebec chartered accountant Guylaine Saucier is depending on her vast experience in private enterprises to help her in her role as Chair of the Board of the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. (CBC). Her greatest challenge as CBC head is the three-year budget reduction program mandated by government. The magnitude of the required reductions is such that merely scaling back the broadcasting company's operations is not sufficient.

Chrysalis Group plc Managing Director Richard Huntingford discusses his love of music and his involvement with Chrysalis, where he has been managing director since 1999. He is particularly pleased with the success of Chrysalis Radio. Chrysalis had an operating profit of 1.18 million pounds sterling for the first six months of 2000.
