Massive investments ann deficit spending on voice and data networks, high-speed fiber-optinc lines, badwidth and other telecom infrastructure investments into the telecommunication industry led to overcapacity. Analysts forecast that capital spending will fall between 10% to 15% this year and only the big players may survive the shakeout.
