MGM Grand, Inc

Article Abstract:

MGM Grand Inc is transferring from Beverly Hills to Las Vegas in Jul 1992 so that the management can closely supervise the construction of MGM Grand Hotel and Theme Park. Part-owner Kirk Kerkorian is guarding against any cost overruns because subsidiary MGM Grand Hotel Finance Corp has yet to draw on the proceeds from an offering of first mortgage notes worth $473 million. The company's equity contribution and seasoned management staff have lessened the risk involved in the project as reflected by the average rating given by security rating firms.

Promus Companies, Inc

Article Abstract:

Promus Companies Inc plans to expand its gambling operations by adding another floating casino to ply the Joliet River and constructing a riverboat casino entertainment complex in Lake View on Horn Lake, MI. Conditions favor both proposals as seen from the demand in casino gambling and the positive feedback from the financial community. A recent voter approval of gambling operations in Warren County, MI increses the company's chances of pushing through with its Mississipi project.
