Bank chiefs accused of holding off broker sale

Article Abstract:

Some institutional stockholders are critical of National Westminster Bank's chief executive, Derek Wanless, and chairman, Lord Alexander. They argue that a change in top management is needed, and they are concerned that the two men could oppose the sale of NtWest Markets because the amount that NatWest has wasted on NatWest Markets would then become apparent. Their allocation of capital has been criticised. NatWest has not stated whether it plans to sell NatWest Markets.
