United Kingdom base rates are rising and this has not affected stock prices. Longer term interest rates have more impact on stock prices than base rates. UK government securities may help stock prices, but there are dangers to government securities from inflationary pressures. There is also no guarantee that UK stock prices will be supported by those in the US. US stock prices and UK government securities could have more of an impact than base rates.
